One of the girls accused of stabbing Skytrain travellers with a steak knife earlier this week  is still behind bars, but the other has been released from custody until her next court appearance tomorrow.

Yesterday, investigators confirmed both teens had 142 run-ins with police since January of last year.

Anne Drennan with Transit Police says several more charges have now been approved.

"The juvenile female that was brandishing the knife has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. She has been remanded in custody and her next court appearance would be tomorrow."

She's also facing five counts of breaching the conditions of release from her last encounter with police.

The other girl, who's facing one charge of assault causing bodily harm, has been released from custody until she also appears in court tomorrow.

Three people were wounded during the rampage which started around 11:30pm Monday in Surrey.

The girls were arrested at the Joyce skytrain station in Vancouver.

WHY is one being released? The low life should be in a jail cell rotting! This justice system is a pathetic waste of time and it's time the public start dealing with this kind of trash like they do in Africa. If I ran this country, these 2 trashbags would be digging ditches in the rain 9 hours a day for 10 years.

Too bad that they both have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, but that doesn't change the fact that society deserves to be protected from them. Keep them in custody because they have already breached previous court conditions, try to rehabilitate them if you want but keep them in custody.

I sure hope I'm not going to be their next victim. I rely on skytrain/bus to get around because I can't afford to drive. I'm really frightened. There should be more police at ALL of the skytrain stations after 9:00 pm. Another scary thing is sometimes after 9:00 pm its quite common to be the only one in the skytrain car and then if you see a group of teenagers coming in or someone else that looks scary, what do you do? You have nowhere to go or get out until the next station that is if they haven't assaulted you first. I DON'T FEEL SAFE RIDING THE SKYTRAIN AT ALL ESPECIALLY AFTER 9:00 PM
