The new Pope has been introduced in Rome.
Argentine Jorge Bergoglio is the first ever from the Americas.
He will be known as Pope Francis.
He's 76 years old.
There was applause inside Vancouver's Holy Rosary Cathedral as Archbishop Michael Miller announced the new leader of the Catholich Church.
The church has an estimated 1.2 billion members around the world.
