More than seven years after a new dad helped a homeless man by giving him a blanket, the charity 'Blanket BC' has heavily multiplied that generosity.

"We never thought we'd reach this milestone of 100-thousand blankets, quite remarkable."

Gregory Ould started 'Blanket BC' on a cold night in October of 2005.

"After a chance encounter with a homeless man on the street. I walked up to him and I simply asked him, 'what can I do to help?' I'll never forget his gut-wrenching words, 'I could use a blanket to survive the night.' So, I went out. I got him a blanket. I brought it to him. There were no words exchanged. Just a smile on his face. A glint in his eye."

Details for making donations are available at blanketbc.org.

Good to know there are still good people out there

    This is great!

There are always people taking advantage of charities though, which is too bad. Like running an illegal lottery and misappropriating $1M in funds into a non-charitable organization.
