Search crews have recovered the body of a man -- who died Friday in an avalanche in southeast BC.

He was among three skiers caught up in the slide, which happened in the backcountry near the Revelstoke Mountain Resort.

Companions managed to rescue the other two skiers.

RCMP say the victim's name and hometown won't be made public until Monday.
