Sex offender Martin Tremblay has been found guilty of criminal negligence causing death, in the deaths of two local teenage girls.

People applauded in the courtroom as the judge convicted Tremblay of criminal negligence causing death and obstruction of justice in the deaths of 17-year-old Martha Jackson Hernandez and 16-year-old Kayla Lalonde.

Tremblay lured the teens to his Richmond home three years ago with free drugs and alcohol, and after the girls consume a deadly mix of the two, he failed to call 911.

Hernandez was discovered unresponsive on the floor of Tremblay's home, while Lalonde was found shortly after, dumped on a road in Burnaby.

Tremblay has a history of drugging and sexually assaulting aboriginal girls dating back more than ten years.

He will be sentenced at a later date.

This is great news, but . . .

Now we can only hope that the Court gives him a sentence that we the people are satisfied with. I fear he will get a mere minor inconvenience and that he will be doing similar things to our children in the near future.

Therefore, please let him have substantial jail time and be required to take corrective programs before being allowed back into our society.
