A woman who had been in intensive care after a horrific fire in Victoria Saturday morning, has now passed away.

She is the third person to have died because of that fire, on Johnson Street.

Another woman and a man were also killed.

Crews were called to the house around 4:30am.

Battalion Chief Paul Kowalyk says there was a big party at the home Friday night.

"There was a bunch of people that had slept over and I guess, tenants that lived there were up in their bedroom and they succumbed to smoke, the two females up in their top-storey bedroom."

Kowalyk says it looks like the fire started in a couch on the porch.

He says people at the house may have put a fire in the couch out themselves earlier in the night, but it may have reignited.
