A former Transit Police officer has been charged with assault stemming from a fight outside a bar in New Westminster last summer.
Brian Lawson was off duty and on sick leave when he was arrested September 12th.
He's facing one count of assault causing bodily harm and assaulting a police officer.
Lawson's due in court March 6th.
He resigned from the police force last month.
