It's back to the bargaining table Monday for the BC Teachers' Federation and the BC Public School Employers' Association.

The two sides will try to reach a new collective agreement.

BCTF President, Susan Lambert says it will likely be a difficult path to an agreement, but she's hoping one can be reached by the end of June, when the contract runs out.

"There's no indication from government that they will fund the system adequately to reduce class sizes and to restore programs for children with special needs."

Lambert says the recently ratified agreement to do with the process of bargaining is a positive development.

It's good to see bargaining getting off to an earlier than usual start, with a facilitator in place from the start. Let's hope this helps the parties find common ground more quickly.

You can tell from speakup's comments that she has had no contact with teachers or schools since some unfortunate, negative incident in the past. Clearly, there is an agenda there, whether it be as innocuous as getting back at that teacher who assigned a failing grade on that Social Studies 9 project, or as sinister as being a paid spammer / troll for the BC Liberal party. Regardless, her remarks are consistently unfounded, inflammatory, and at best, ridiculous.
