It's been revealed why a Transit Police Officer resigned after he left an explosive device on an Air Canada plane.

It's actually another incident in which the officer admitted to deceit and resigned in September of 2011.

On three separate occasions the member had been recorded at the Pacific Border Crossing returning to Canada in a police-issued vehicle.

Any trip across the border would require special permission and it's beleived that never happened.

The officer was then asked to provide a report which apparently contained inaccuracies.

The member later admitted there were elements of deceit and he resigned in September.

The investigation also determined the member failed to ensure the welfare of his police service dog.

A vet was needed to bring the dog back to normal health.

@ChrisM_18 A nice change from all the media attention on the long and growing list of RCMP indiscretions in British Columbia.

More evidence of some excellent hiring practices at Translink. I would guess that he was some executives nephew.
