BC's Deputy Premier is making a bold prediction about the upcoming BC election.

After controversies involving the south surrey casino among others, Rich Coleman was asked if the public is seeing the wheels come off a BC government teetering on the brink before the spring election.

"Well that is just nonsense that is just all it is I mean...actually my door and phone always been open to these guys and when they bring up issues we talk them through its has always been the case it is just maybe you are paying a little more attention because we are getting closer to an election I can tell you this though I am also the chair of the campaign I like the momentum that is has got and the one thing you might be wanting to get ready for is, is get ready for Premier Christy Clark on May 15th because we are going to win this thing."

If all goes according to the plan laid out in legislation British Columbia will vote on May 14th.

If Coleman is the Chair of the Campaign, the Liberals are totally cooked. Daffy Duck would be a better chair. Just when I thought it couldn't get more ridiculous, the big arrogant oaf admits to the job most required to save the Liberals, and he pops up. Everything he touches turns to sh!t, he's as bad as Cash Heed.
I am starting to think the Librals WANT to loose, so they can go stick their heads in the sand, and wish B.C. would just go away, n'est pas?

This arrogant poof will not be elected and he will be applying at Wendy's for a permanent job.He has proven that he does not belong in Victoria.Go Dix go.

@bctaxpayer He shouldn't be re-elected - he has no idea what his place is. If he is the best the Liberals have to offer, that's a frightening thought!

@bctaxpayer Coleman - arrogant, tells it how he sees it, workhorse, frequently gets himself in hot water for above.

Dix - dull, requires constant advice, cheater, procrastinator.

Although I don't adopt either style, I'd rather see a brash do-er In Victoria than a limp wanna-be.

bctaxpayer: How many times do you have to be told that NDP strongholds will be won by the NDP and Liberal strongholds will be won by the Liberals.
Rich Coleman's riding is a Liberal stronghold. Adrian Dix would not be able to win this riding if he was running against Coleman.
Jenny Kwan's riding is a NDP stronghold. Christy Clark would not be able to win this riding if she was running against Kwan.

BCTAXPAYER, IF WANT TO LIVE IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE, PLEASE DO SO, BUT US READERS DO NOT AND WE FACE FACTS AND REALITY.

YOUR NDP'ER'S SURE SEEM WORRIED ABOUT THE UP COMING ELECTION.

    WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?

@joes_2868 I'm sure they don't want to talk about Dix's indiscretions back in the 90s, but the Liberals sure appear nervious about the Basi Virk issue. I guess we'll get at the truths during the next few months.

@joes_2868 As of this date, Mr. Coleman has yet to be be declared a candiate in his riding.

"If all goes according to the plan laid out in legislation British Columbia will vote on May 14th."

      Note "IF."

What is the point of that line? Anyone with half a brain is already aware that May 14, 2013 is laid out in legislation as election day.

But, it implies that legislation could be passed during the up-coming session to delay the election to a more-favourable date. It is entirely possible that this may be the case. Similarly, an earlier election date was considered shortly after the Liberal leadership campaign.

Does Mr. Coleman know something or is he hedging his bet?

I remember the last ime the NDP were in, we turned into a have not province.Money and workers fled to other jurisdictions. Dix was was a major player at the time. The latest polls show Libs gaining NDP waining. Rich Coleman is a solid producer, go Rich.
    1. LorAx posted on 02/01/2013 09:34 AM
@CormacO spoken like a true political hack. Lets all vote Liberal and repeat the last 12 years of political interference and public deception.
    2. bctaxpayer posted on 02/01/2013 12:21 PM
@CormacO A solid customer at Wendy's that's where he belongs,.This guy is Not to be trusted just as we cannot trust risky Clark.
  5. CormacO posted on 02/01/2013 09:54 AM
So Lorax I am not entitled to my opinion, I am a hack because I do not agree with you? I remember the last time they were in and also the Barrett years, same thing, the province shut down. Currently BC is in great shape, wouldn't want to live anywhere else, even if Dix gets in.
    1. LorAx posted on 02/01/2013 11:43 AM
@CormacO your entitled to your opinion, and I'm entitled to disagree with it.
    2. bctaxpayer posted on 02/01/2013 12:24 PM
@CormacO Do you know that the corrupt BC lie beral party has added 60 Billion $$$$ to our Prov. debt. These corrupt BC lie berals do not like talking about that.
  6. joes_2868 posted on 02/01/2013 10:12 AM
LorAx: Good point. This is all part of politics and all parties get involved with these legal matters that taxpayers never get clarity.
The NDP did a major blunder on the fast cat ferry issue and tons of taxpayer money was spent without detailed records of how it was spent.
Gordon Campbell, opposition leader at the time said that he would have a total inquiry on the fast cat project.
As these inquires are loaded with legal expenses, he concluded that is was not important in relation to how much taxpayer dollars would have to be spent to get the true result.
The same applies to Adrian Dix if he becomes premier. He too, will do the same as Campbell to please the taxpayers and will come up with the same decision that the legal fees involved will just be too costly.

Yes, it is a shame, when found guilty, that your legal expenses are all paid for, but politics is politics and I don't think us taxpayers will ever get a proper explanation.
But then we ask ourselves, if a inquiry costs too much, how can we afford to pay legal expenses for guilty verdicts.
    We need to hire COLUMBO!
    1. LorAx posted on 02/01/2013 11:56 AM
@joes_2868 Yes, we could use a "COLUMBO".
    2. TonyB_0924 posted on 02/01/2013 02:15 PM
@joes_2868 I for one would still like to see an inquiry into the fast cats I would like to know how Gordo got away with turning down 60 million dollars for the fast cats and then auctioning them off for 19.5 million dollars to the same company that offered 60 million dollars. And isn’t it funny that Christy Clarks brother worked for the company that offered the 60 million dollars at the same time???? Yep by all means bring on an inquiry into the fast cats and one into the BC gas, BC rail the 400 million dollar cost overrun on the BC convention center, along with the cost overrun on the roof at BC place and well were at it lets look into why BC hydro lost 180 million dollars in the spring of 2012 funny BC hydro has never lost money from the time she was created till the BC Liberal came to power why is that?????
  7. AndreaK_5056 posted on 02/01/2013 10:18 AM
Your arrogance knows no bounds, Fluffy Coleman... the fiberals are done like dinner. You have all pushed the voters of BC over the edge. Unfortunately, the majority of voters clearly aren't thinking clearly as they seem to be planning to vote for the NDP which in no way is a viable option to YOUR party, Fluffy.

Vote BC Conservatives in order to avoid the status quo of the past 20+ years of fiberal/NDP mismanagement.
    1. MichaelD_10 posted on 02/01/2013 12:07 PM
@AndreaK_5056 Yes I agree the Conservative are the only viable choice although the media are telling us they have done the polls and the Conservatives have no chance. That kind of reporting should be illegal, it used to be.

The only poll that matters is on Election Day. If the Conservative run a candidate in every BC riding and you vote for them the we will have a Conservative government.
In Canada in the past it was illegal to publish poll results before an election because they thought it would swing elections.

Pay no attention to polls they are not your friend. If someone calls you to ask polling questions hang up and ask them if their mother know what they are doing.

The liberals are so desperate they are pulling out all the stops. Bollywood film awards, trying to woo the indian vote. Emily Carr, trying to appeal to the artsy folk. Christys going to talk to the Vancouver business board(or something like that) about how her faith in God influences her life and decisions, trying to get christians on board because it looks like the religious zealots out in Abbottsford are gonna turf the libs out there too. And finally, the are no longer the liberals anymore, no, now they are the free enterprise coalition. As if John Cummings and the conservatives have cozied up with them. Clueless Christy, they dislike you, Rich Coleman, Pat Bell, Kevin Falcon, Marg Mcdermiad as much as the rest of the province. Your TV and radio ads are nauseating. Just go away, far ,far away.
    1. bctaxpayer posted on 02/01/2013 02:11 PM
@AlfredO Arn't those ads TV or radio sickening,I can not stand any bore of Risky Clark and the Corrupt BC lie berals. We have been LIED to by these clowns toooooooooooo many times. Time for Dix.

Mr,Coleman I wish you the very best in the next election, but I do not think you will be re-elected.

Your performance regarding the Surrey Casino is an example of unwarranted meddling in municipal politics. Your account is very different than the obvious and telling the truth would be the best.

    Voters deserve the truth.
  10. joes_2868 posted on 02/01/2013 11:50 AM
RonE_1902: True, but regardless if the Liberals are government or oppostion, Rich Coleman will remain as the MLA for his riding.

@joes_2868 Joey. I sure hope you are wrong. Last time I saw "The Nuffy Boy" almost a year ago when they actually showed their faces he could hardly walk behind the chairs in the Legislature. If he gets re- elected we will have to spend hundreds of thousands of $$$$$$$ to rearange it so he can slime his way to his seat.
  11. joes_2868 posted on 02/01/2013 11:53 AM
insite: Only with the NDP! Former NDP premier, Ujjal Dosanjh did not even want to call an election. He waited until the last possible day by law to call the election.

      @KenL_6250 Very well said.
    2. bctaxpayer posted on 02/01/2013 02:21 PM
@KenL_6250 Risky Clark and the rest of the corrupt BC lie berals know that releasing this BC Rail info and why they paid off the basi verk jerks 6 Million $$$$$$ to keep quiet will cost them dearly. So it should and will.
  14. joes_2868 posted on 02/01/2013 02:41 PM
bctaxpayer: Even if Adrian Dix does get signing authority to the taxpayer's cheque book, there will still be no answer.

He will conclude that the legal expenses would be not worthwhile spending taxpayer dollars, just the same as Gordon Campbell did with the NDP's fast cat inquiry.

You just keep living in the twilight zone. Live up to facts and reality.
  15. joes_2868 posted on 02/01/2013 02:46 PM
bctaxpayer: Isn't it amazing that the other 9 provincial governments and the federal government have identical ads. Even in NDP Manitoba and Nova Scotia.

And remember, everyone of them never mention party affiliation.
    1. bctaxpayer posted on 02/03/2013 10:11 AM
@joes_2868 The 15 Million $$$$ risky Clark used were self serving and BC taxpayers $$.

Sun reports that fellow public servant Craig James, Clerk of the Legislature, is piling on John Doyle. It's bad enough when politicians make disparaging remarks. Unfortunately, for James, the mikes were turned on and his comments were broadcast all over the Legislature building.

Mr. Doyle has no friends because he does his job.
  18. joes_2868 posted on 02/02/2013 11:52 AM
TonyB_0924: You are wrong! Finished my research and found that Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers were given the job of finding buyers for the B.C. fast cats.
The highest bid was the one that the ships sold for.
Interest in the ships was not very popular.

You have also done your research, and you read that Holyman told Glen Clark not to build the ships and he did not listen to the advice.

If he did not listen then, then why today does he sign cheques today written out to the B.C. Liberal party on behalf of the Jim Pattison Group?

Could it be that is his job now?
