taxed to death: I love these figures. I have done my research and am very happy to see with this latest poll, the B.C. Liberals would form government once again, BUT REMEMBER THIS IS ONLY A POLL.

The NDP have a lot of work to do before they be handed over the taxpayer's chequebook. They can only form government with 49% plus of the popular vote.

I have written to Mario at Angus Reid explaining how I arrived at my calculations.

Now remember this is only a poll. The true poll is on election day.

Nine elections have come and gone in Canada and not one poll was correct.

Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario, polls showed that the incumbent governments were double digits behind the official opposition parties.

Come election day, all incumbent governments were returned to government.

You have to face the facts here. NDP strongholds will be won by the NDP. Liberal strongholds will be won by the Liberals. Not one conservative will be elected. Good chance that the two independents will win their seats once again. Bob Simpson and Vicky Huntington.

Final outcome will be the winner has at the most only up to a 10 seat majority.

Readers that listen to the readers consultant, Ken280, the man with a briefcase 50 miles away from can join him in the twilight zone.

He has somekind of disease that affects his brain that tells him the NDP will win in a landslide.

He's nuts! Example, The Liberals cannot win Jenny Kwan's riding. The NDP cannot win Rich Coleman riding.

Blow all the gaskets you want, shoot from the hip, have high blood pressure readings, get that pain in the left arm. Is the NDP all worth that?

All of us will have the result at around 8:45 pm on May 14, 2013.

Mr. corruption, himself, Brian Topp, has still not arrived in B.C.

Ken280 is avoiding the question. CAN YOU ANSWER IT FOR THE READERS?

KEN SAYS THAT B.C. WILL HAVE A NDP GOVERNMENT. ADRIAN DIX SAYS THE ELECTION WILL BE A NAIL BITER.

    WHY THE TWO DIFFERENT ANSWERS?

THANKS FOR ADDRESSING YOUR COMMENT TO ME. I KNOW YOU JUST WAKE UP EVERY MORNING JUST WAITING TO READ MY REPLIES FOR THE DAY.

I may vote NDP for the first time in my life this spring. Maybe. I have a clear memory of what a mess they made last time they held office, so I feel desperate and doubtful

But I have a question for the 45% who approve of Dix' performance. It's hard to "disapprove" of hiim because he has not done anything. He's in the easy seat because his opponent is such a mess.

He has been dodging every question about his platform, never says what exactly his plans are, and has not done any damage yet. What exactly is there to approve of?
    1. commonsense posted on 01/29/2013 12:39 PM
@Cin_3294 I kind of chuckle at "approve of what he's done" (you can replace he's for she's) for any poll in this country. You're right. What has he done? Cummins? Sterk?

I like seeing polls as platforms come out.

@Cin_3294 he has done a few things lately

      Forged documents
      and evaded skytrain

      most memorable events
maybe 45% of those people were fare evaders and liars too!
People tend to like people most like them

The problem with polls is that too many people take treat these like victories. It's like watching a Canucks game and when they're up 2-0 in the first period, some throw it out there like they are going to win the cup, let alone the game.

Polls are polls. Ratings. The final poll is the only poll that matters since those choices are final.

One thing that they failed to mention is the trend. The NDP has gone down every month for the last several months while the Liberals have gone up.

Dix can't hide forever, saying 'no' to any kind of economic expansion that any interest group is against. You need an economy to pay for promises.

I don't know how much more corrupted Risky Dix is. That's the problem.

DonS_3209: Enjoyed you comments. Nice to see some thought put into it, NOT LIKE SOME WE KNOW.

Governments are all the same, except some are better than others.
B.C. is an investment province. Investment give out pay cheques every second Friday.
Investment does not have to co-operate with a NDP government.
In return, they create a slow down and produce lay off slips for the employees.
B.C. has the second highest credit rating in Canada next to Alberta.
    B.C. credit rating is AAA-.
    B.C. is a "HAVE" province.
B.C. credit rating is higher than all of the banks in Canada, because banks take too much of a chance in giving out loans.
You notice, not once, having a excellent credit rating and being a have province is never mentioned from the constant complainers.
Don, if you want to see for yourself about the tax system of rates by province to province go to google and type in:

    MINISTRY OF FINANCE: NOVA SCOTIA

    type in: TAXATION

type in: TAX RATES ACROSS CANADA

If the likes of Ken280, the readers consultant, a man with a briefcase 50 miles away from home, bctaxpayer, and taxed to death would do this themselves, they just might see that they are barking up the wrong tree.

After rejection of AG Doyle's application for Basi -Virk agreement, watch the Liberal numbers to soar even higher.

And, we will never know why their legal costs were paid even if they pleaded guilty.
    1. HJDH posted on 01/29/2013 03:35 PM
@insite legal fees where high because the Liberals throughout the trial forced the defence to make court applications for disclosure - just look at the court proceedings on line. They resisted disclosure from the get go, WHY?

    1. insite posted on 01/29/2013 04:37 PM
@joes_2868 Hard to dispute your claim that there were more court cases under NDP because no one researches the issues as much as you do.

But, as you rightfully point out, all cases (meaning legal fees) were paid by the taxpayers. Why? Because, in every case, the person involved was found not guilty.

Contrast that where Basi-Virk, in spite of pleading guilty, had their legal fees paid for in violation of government policy that fees for only the innocent are paid by taxpayer funds.

I think transfering billions of dollars in taxes to taxpayers is a much, much worse crime than forgetting a Skytrain ticket (or even stepping down under police investigation). I wonder why it's O.K. for BC Lieberals to not step down when caught drinking and driving on foreign soil, or not step down after selling Crown property (BC Rail) under very, very shady circumstances, or not step down after lieing about bringing in the HST, and then take their sweet time returning to the old tax system (as directed by a majority of voters in a binding referendum, August, 2011).

For the record, it was supposed to return to the way it was before the HST was implemented, and yet we're going to pay 7% PST on used cars permanently. This only came into effect with the HST and should not continue after March 31, 2013! The BC Fiberals are beyond arrogant.

@Borninapirateship PST on used cars was brought in before the HST. The HST is being reversed to the GST/PST as it was on June 30, 2010.

The NDP years in power may have been difficult for some but I cannot sit here and allow the Liberals to get all of the credit for the economy we now have in BC. The economic success of BC is due to the skyrocketing commodity prices that took off when the Liberals came to power. The high commodity prices allowed Campbell to give us a tax break and not affect revenues.

However, this still did not allow them to balance all of their budgets, only 5 of the last 12 and they did this by "robbing" BC Hydro of upwards of $5 billion dollars and they have almost triple our debt, almost $90 billion from the $30 billion the NDP left us.

The NDP were in power during a worldwide economic slow down and also had to deal with the federal government that cut transfer payments to the provinces in the 1990's.

The NDP did give the fast ferry duds but Campbell chose to sell them off at the biggest loss possible to drive it home that the fast ferries were an NDP boondoggle. He made a poor decision here. He should have sold them at the higher price when had the chance.

The Liberals have also done a great job in making the NDP years sound worse than they were and the Liberal years better than they have been.

Economic growth and activity is very cyclical and goes up and down quite often and as we are seeing today commodity prices are falling hence the $1.5 billion deficit that the Liberals are so desperate to erase in their phoney baloney budget next month.

The NDP like it or not. believe it or not balanced all of their budgets and during their last year and half in power the economic growth was already going up as the commodity prices were getting higher, almost 5% growth.

Adrian Dix is hoping that he can trust the budget the Liberals come out with so that he can release the NDP policy book (based on Liberal budget) for the coming election and what they hope to accomplish should they win the election.

The Liberals need to be given a vacation for awhile.
    1. commonsense posted on 01/29/2013 11:39 PM
@WizardOron just add that Dix wants to rid of the Balanced Budget Act so that he won't be held accountable for going over budget and allowing school boards to blow their budgets.

And to think Adrian Dix and the NDP have provided nothing to the people BC on their plans or policies. They just whine and make knee jerk voice noise largely of no solutions.

@StephenG_3 Not according to people I talk to, the majority believe the Liberals are dishonest and are concealing dishonest via payouts to Basi Virk and gag orders against them.

Readers and non-reader commentators, watch the polls over the next few months. The gap will close. Die hard supporters will stick to their roots, idealists will become realists and undeciders will become deciders. It's typical to see this.

@commonsense Not so, the NDP are young voters, they communicate via the social networks, unlike us old school tv / radio people. They genrally like Dix and view the Liberals as old, tired, and insincere (Christy is not helping) The impact of younger voters hasn't surfaced yet - wait and see - you will be shocked at what's coming.
