Seven charges have now been laid against a Surrey man accused of abducting and beating a young woman in Maple Ridge.
25 year old Ian James William Campbell is facing charges of kidnapping, choking, assault with a weapon, unlawful confinement and auto theft.
He remains in custody.
The 17 year old victim was abducted outside a Maple Ridge mall January 19th, driven to a secluded location and beaten.
She managed to escape to a nearby home and call for help.
