Port Mann bridge fares well on icy morning
VANCOUVER/CKNW (AM980)

1/14/2013

It's suffered from some pretty bad press in it's first few weeks of operation.

But while the rest of Metro Vancouver was slipping and sliding this morning, everything was okay on the new Port Mann bridge.

"The commute this morning when just fine. No problems, even though we saw slippery conditions reported elsewhere throughout the lower mainland. Conditions on the Port Mann Bridge were just fine and traffic was moving very nicely"

Bridge spokesman Max Logan for the past ten days or so, crews have been out applying saltwater brine and salt more often, to keep the bridge deck ice-free.

Reporters with traffic station AM730 also reported few problems on the Port Mann this morning.

Risky Clark and Bond will be paying dearly come May for penalizing us north of the Port Mann.I can't wait to vote and so are thousands of BC Taxpayer's to get the BC lie beral party out of site. What a corrupt party if there ever was one.

@bctaxpayer So do you live north or south of the Fraser?

To be honest, the Liberals really won't suffer that much because of the bridge. Someone in Kelowna, Vancouver Island or up north could care less if the bridge is tolled or not. It does not affect them. You're too focused on such a small area.

Also, thousands of BC Taxpayer's? Why the apostrophe? There is no ownership in that statement, it should be "BC Taxpayers".
