A BC Hydro line came down in New Westminster across Stewardson Way, a Queensborough shopping centre, some cars and into the Fraser River Sunday morning.

Spokesperson Simi Heer says they're not sure why it fell down, or whether it caused any damage to cars.

"Crews were able to respond quite quickly and keep the public away even though it was a non current line."

The line did hit several other wires, causing a small outage, but everything was back to normal by Sunday afternoon.

    sooooooo since Sunday morning......
    No one knows:
    1) WHY it fell down
    2) IF anyone or anything was damaged

the main thing was it was a non-current line - phew!!!
(makes me wonder WHY it was even in place then?? esthetics?)
Good to know such knowledgeable people are looking after things!

hey NW - how about hiring some real journalists? I know pretty radical!
The readers are getting tired of having to be the ones to ask the REAL questions................deep sigh
