VICTORIA/CKNW (AM980)

The BC Legislature will be back in session next month for the first time since May of last year.

The newly-released parliamentary calendar calls for a throne speech on February 12th....and the provincial budget to be tabled one week later, on the 19th.

While the calendar officially calls for a 12 week session ending on May 30th, the House will likely be pro-rogued much earlier as the provincial election is set for May 14th.

The calendar also calls for a six week fall session of the legislature beginning on October 7th, but that decision will be made by the incoming government.

Is summer vacation over already? If I were the Liberals, I wouldn't want to be there either.

Well gee, the fiberals have been busy spending our tax dollars on their expensive meals, useless gifts, travelling and staying in mondo-expensive hotel rooms... how could we have expected them to actually WORK during all that time? I just hope that they take the time next month to pack up their stuff because come May, they will all be gone.

Vote BC Conservatives, BC needs a major change, no more status quo. No more fiberals and ndp destroying the province, 20+ years is more then enough.

@speakup Who would you want to have? The CEO's that run business into the ground and run away with humongous bonuses to run a government? This will be only for corporate interests?Forget the hungry? Jobs for the people? Most jobs that are created are part time at min.wages.These are going only for foreign workers. They say no Canadians will work and need skills up the wing wang to serve coffee? The HST was to create Jobs we were told, it has been in for awhile and I never seen movement in that regard,to tell you the truth I have seen little job creation only during the 5 ring circus, you right winger say companies create then work? Why is Canada dismal in job creation with the small number of people that live here?we are such a Big wealthy Country and only a few will benefit.Lets say the 1%.
