Surrey Mounties are looking for a prolific criminal responsible for several bank robberies across Metro Vancouver.

They say Robert John Paton is wanted on four outstanding warrants out of Vancouver, and is suspected in several robberies in Surrey, Langley and Burnaby.

Police say they are concerned about what they call his 'level of desperation', saying his is known to disguise himself with wigs and glasses, and has threatened people.

No one has been injured in the robberies, but police say he is still considered dangerous.

Paton is described as white, 32 years old, six feet tall, 200 pounds and believed to be in Surrey's city centre.
