Amanda Todd’s mother continues to face online harassment nearly three months after her daughter's high profile suicide following years of online bullying.

Through Twitter and Facebook, individuals continue to bully the Todd family through impersonation -- even going so far as to interact with those sending messages of sympathy.

"I'm just surprised that someone would go to that extent, and even say things like, 'oh, thank you for saying you're so sorry. I really miss my daughter, and our whole family misses her dearly. It was just bizarre to me."

Carol Todd says she has complained to the social media sites about the accounts, but hasn’t received a reply.

One of those Facebook accounts has disappeared, but she isn't sure whether the user or the social network deleted it.

it just shows how many more people need
help in terms of their mental health.

The people, who have no respect for their fellow
human beings, clearly, have their own problems,
preventing them from showing the respect, compassion
of others suffering because, they, also, suffer.

Social media helps to shine a light on these closet people,
who cannot interact with the general population in a
    normal way.

We live in a sick world and need to reach out more to people,
who are having various struggles in life.

@DeceitinDrugsD True that about one in three have some kind of mental problem from mild and short term to psychopathic etc...

There arent enough people and money to help the mentally ill...there are just too many

@DeceitinDrugsD Well said, its sad and alarming how many people do this and consider it "normal".

Doesn't seem to be a great future for "social" media if it continues to be abused like this.

Unfortunately I believe the only way to deal with a bully is to bully the bully. when they get the idea that they are going to be bullied they will move on. ive seen this in person. Two big kids bullying a smaller kid, observing them and feeling threatened by my presence they run to avoid being bullied by a larger fish.
