It looks like Premier Christy Clark and Alberta's premier are still at loggerheads over the Northern Gateway oil pipeline.

Appearing on Global's The West Block, Alison Redford was asked if BC was beginning to develop something on the pipeline Alberta can work with.

Redford laughed and said,

"I don't know."

But she added she is keeping a close eye on the looming BC election.

"And as we get closer and closer to the British Columbia election we are seeing a lot more public discussion within BC's borders about what access to the West Coast looks like and how it matters to their economy, to our economy, to Canada's economy so from our perspective we are not looking to try to negotiate anything or change anything."

Clark and Redford met for about five minutes on October 1st with both premiers calling the tone of the meeting.. frosty.

What BS - Redford has to know that its likely Christy and co are going to get their butts kicked out of Victoria - and the incoming New Depression Party are going to show BC just how tough they can be against big bad Alberta ...so the likelihood of a pipeline diminishes as the time winds down on the Liberals

@ChrisM_18 You seem to forget the the polls said Redford would lose. She shouldn't let up quite yet.

I am wondering what will happen to the BC economy after the NDP gets in -----quite depressing - I like Mike's name for that party

@AnneH_4 The stench from the present government is equally depressing.

That is why BC needs a Conservative government. The Conservatives need to get rid of those members who are NDP and or liberal in conservative clothing.

@MichaelD_10 Right, how do you do that? It's obvious that the Liberals have moles in the Conservative Party to disrupt and discredit them.

Winners don't negotiate with losers, Redford,

".... so from our perspective we are not looking to try to negotiate anything or change anything."

Why would they? Clark is a lame duck premier.
