The B-C Coroner's Service has confirmed an RCMP officer died this morning in a crash at 64th Avenue and 148th Street.
An unmarked police cruiser and a semi-trailer rig collided in the intersection at 5am.
So far, RCMP have not commented.
Police tape is up in all directions at 64th Avenue and 148th Street.
The wreckage in the middle of the intersection - the semi truck has smashed completely into the front end of unmarked gray police cruiser.
There's not much left of that front end.
There are yellow evidence markers littered all over the intersection.
