 A 51-year-old Vancouver man has died in hospital after being arrested by Vancouver police last night.
The man was taken into custody just before 7 p.m. for causing a disturbance because he was drunk.
The man was barred from detox, so officers instead offered to take him home, but when they arrived at the man's home, he was unconscious.
The man was taken to hospital, but later died.
VPD have called in B.C.'s Independent Investigation Office.
