The proposed Northern Gateway pipeline will be the focus of an energy summit later this week.

It's being hosted by the BC Chamber of Commerce -- a group strongly in favour of the project.

Chamber president John Winter says the public debate has been extremely one-sided.

"What we're really hoping to have happen on Wednesday is a number of panels that will talk to some of the realities that are not being talked to at this point in time -- and try to create a common fact base for people to really make up their minds."

Winter says the industry has done a poor job of raising its priorities and commitments when it comes to the project.

National Energy Board hearings are also set to resume in Prince George this week.

John Winter sounds like an Oil industry sto
oge ..how about instead of " the industry has done a poor job of raising its priorities " , he focus's on the fact that the industry has done a poor job of designing and installing piping systems that don't leak .
We all know the Oil industries priorities - make as much money as possible as quickly as posssible with the least investment of hardware and people .
We need to make sure that the Oil Industry focus's on our priorities !!

So, it sounds like John Winter is the
expert, who will show the "industry" priorities &
commitments, when it comes to the pipeline project?

I am not at all surprised that the BC Chamber of
Commerce is 'group strongly in favor of the project."

Is that why Mayor bruce banman is sitting on the
fence with his 'wait & see approach.'

He served on the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce Board,
and it was the Abbotsford Chamber, who vociferously
supported arena/hockey and pushed for a P3 Water
project in Abbotsford, without, getting all the facts.

We all know about the arena/hockey, which was
quaranteed to bring business and professionals to
    Abbotsford.

    NOT!

Now, B.C. Chamber of Commerce are on the fantasy
train to big profits for B.C. and I bet the majority
of them are B.C. Liberal supporters.
