Good news from Burns Lake...
The Babine Forest Products Mill will be rebuilt.
250 people were put out of the work after an explosion and fire at the mill earlier this year.
Two men were killed - 19 others were hurt.
The new mill will be smaller than the old facility - but will apparently be state-of-the-art.
Steve Zika speaks for Hampton Affiliates, the mill's owner.
"The decision by the Hampton family, and board of directors was not an easy one... due to the precarious timber supply situation brought about by the pine beetle... that has ravaged forests."
The re-opening is subject to timber supply agreements with First Nations and the government - as well as an operating agreement with the Steelworkers Union.
It will be finalized at a board meeting in December.
