The Amber Alert issued by Vernon RCMP has been cancelled after the suspect and his daughter were found in Delta. Delta's Emergency Response Team moved into the neighborhood at 116th and 94th at two this morning after the suspect's 1999 green Ford minivan was found there. Negotiations with the suspect - 37-year-old Shane Phalen - ended at 7:16 this morning when he surrended. His 15-year-old daughter Breeze Boden was found unharmed. The amber alert was issued last night. The girl was living with her grandmother in Vernon. Police earlier said the girl had gone 'willingly' with her father. Phalen recently lost his job and suffers from addiction issues.

      @RonE_1902 I am that young lady. I thought I'd inform you that it didn't end well. Why? Because I was never kidnapped. The police acted on statements of insane 90-year-old women. Even though we were at familys', everybody knew, and EVERYTHING was perfect. WAS perfect.
      In the end, I was gunned by a SWAT team, moved away from my ALL friends and family, forced to quit my job, resign from public school, and have no contact with my dad who I love more than anything. The police royally fucked up my life because they wanted to be the "hero" and the media knew it would get lots of views. Makes me wonder what other propaganda we are being fed!!!!
