Smoke could be seen from as far away as the North Shore - as fire consumed a greenhouse at a Richmond plant nursery. The flames broke out around 7:30pm Saturday night near Westminster Highway and #8 Road. Ted Townsend with the City of Richmond says no one was hurt.
"There was a couple of semi-trailers and a large propane tank on-site near the greenhouse that they were able to keep the fire from spreading to those."
Seven units were needed to contain the blaze. A cause has yet to be determined.
