Construction is in its final stages for the new Port Mann bridge and its December opening.

The Cape Horn interchange is changing dramatically.

Officials have this to say to commuters: expect big changes this month as the final pieces are put together for the Cape Horn interchange.

It's the busiest, if not most complicated interchange in BC, going from four overpasses to 15.

The traffic patterns will change in phases in mid-September, such as shifting three lanes of Highway One from the old to the new Port Mann.

You'll actually be able to drive on the new bridge after that.

Then they'll be reduced to one lane in the final weeks so crews can demolish the old overpass and make final additions.

Eight of ten lanes of the new Port Mann bridge are set to open in December, with a three dollar toll.

And everyone will avoid the Port Mann and commute through Surrey to not pay $6.00 per day. Now that's planning Translink!

Why does risky Clark not listen to Diane Watt's re the tolls??? Watt's the only sensible politician with some common sense. She say's toll all bridges and sea to sky hwy. With a 50 to 75 cent toll.now that makes sense. I will vote for the party who implements this system and so eill ten's of thousands of others.

Join the fight for 'Fair Tolls for BC', you can find us on, Facebook, Twitter, etc... We all know gas taxes don't work everyone avoids Gas in Metro Vancouver and goes across the border, scrap gas taxes and Toll the Major Crossings, it's equitable and you keep money in BC. It make's no sense taxing anything Metro Vancouver residents can get cheaper with a quick drive to the States.

@FairTollsforBC A quick drive to the States? No such thing - I use the Valley fillup method on my regular trips north!!! Langley residents fillup in Abbotsford!
