Police say driver fatigue may have been a factor in a crash near Salmon Arm that has sent a family of five to hospital.

Mounties say the family, from Calgary, left their home last night around 11 o’clock to head to Vancouver.

Around 5:30 this morning, they got into a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 1.

They are now all in hospital with life-threatening injuries, with one kid going to BC Children’s Hospital.

Typical! Combine piss poor road conditions with piss poor drivers from Alberta, and this is what you get! Fix the damn Highway! National disgrace Highway 1 is. Albertans should have to pass a drivers test before entering BC as well.

@Vancouver Sucks You hit that one right on the nut! We have Albertans where I live(a tourist trap), stopping and gawking at real estate signs, clogging up 2 lane roads, turning off in front of traffic with double yellow lines, total disregard of arrows in parking lots, hogging parking spaces, the list goes on. Albertan's are Canada's rednecks, so get used to it, and the Shuswap and Okanagan are their playland. You couldn't get your knee caps wet in most Alberta lakes, hence them coming here.

I have lived in the North Okanagan for the past 7 years, and I have yet to see a vehicle with Alberta Plates actually do the legally posted speed limit. I also travelled from one coast of this country to the opposite coast many, many times, and I can say with confidence that Albert Drivers are the worst in the country.
