Social media outs alleged Amanda Todd tormentor

The Twitter-world is naming Amanda Todd's alleged tormentor.

The anonymous group claims to have found, indentified and released the name and address of the 32 year old Metro-Vancouver man, whose apparent extortion pushed Amanda Todd to suicide.

The group claims the man blackmailed the teenager for photographs, causing her suicide last week.

No one is home, or answering the door at the man's supposed address, even though lights are on inside.

Neighbors say it is a known party house on the weekend with lots of young women coming and going and the beer cans are overflowing from a bin on the back porch.

    One thing that bothers me is if these people on social media found this fellow, why on earth did they not come forward and do something even a warning prior to Amanda taking her own life

    No need for the police to investigate or worry about that pesky "innocent until proven guilty" part of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms because if it was on Twitter then it MUST be true, right? No one on Twitter ever lied or made stuff up, of course. *sarcasm ends*

    Let's just hope they're right, otherwise someone is about to get bullied by the anti-bully mob.

      @DougC_17 A man named Dakota William Shain Maxson was in a surrey court today. He is charged with 2 counts (sexual assault & sexual interference of child under 16). Outside the court a reporter asked this man about Amanda Todd and his response was that he knew her and they were friends.

      The hacker group Anonymous outed Kody Maxson. You do not mess around with Anonymous. This is as legit as it gets.

    Saw the guys name, address and phone number, his twitter account, Facebook account and how Anonymous tracked him down. Pretty cool. It looks like this is INDEED the guy and he IS a child lurer/pedo. Media should be reporting this. The link to this info is all over Twitter. Start with taking this guy in, then her X boyfriend and ALL the people who physically hurt her, then go after the scum online.

    It is not surprising at all that the RCMP couldn't figure this out, and Anonymous had to save the day. Honestly, the guy gets what he deserves if "public justice" is handed out.. So, if the Justice System want to do it their way, they may have to act fast. Anonymous shows up RCMP. Why does the RCMP being shown-up ring a bell?     Perhaps though what makes 'Anonymous' recent efforts particularly worrisome is the fact that the outlet is in essence behaving just as capriciously as the individual it has accused of blackmailing Todd, which raises questions as to how this may serve to affect most state’s legal system as a new binary begins to take a volatile existence side by side with our present legal system.
