TOIFA TITLE SPONSOR ACCUSED OF BEING INVOLVED IN DEATH OF SON-IN-LAW

Lux Cozi, one of India’s leading underwear brands has announced its partnership as the title sponsor for TOIFA Vancouver 2013. Lux Cozi has a strong establishment overseas, with offices in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa and it is hoping to spread its influence to North America by being that title sponsor for the TOIFA’s, which begins in Vancouver tomorrow and runs until April 6th. This association is being hailed as “the perfect collaboration of two pioneers, who through their offerings have made a mark for India on the global map.” However, there is one large snag in this plan. Lux Cozi’s chairman, Ashok Kumar Todi, was implicated as the prime suspect in the suspected murder of Rizwanur Rahman, a computer graphics teacher that his daughter had secretly married. Rahman was found dead near railway tracks in Dumdum area of Kolkata on September 21, 2007, just a month after his marriage to Ashok Todi's daughter, Priyanka, on August 18, 2007. The incident was initially treated as a suicide, but it was later discovered that the police and Todi had been pressuring and terrorizing Rahman. Despite not being charged with murder, it is believed that Todi had an involvement in Rahman’s death.
