What started out as a post to Snapchat at Aldergrove Community Senior Secondary School turned into a lockdown Tuesday morning.
It’s after a young man was seen in the school with what appeared to be a handgun.
Langley Mounties say the student posted a photograph of himself on Snapchat holding it.
Officials arrived, found the young man, and it turned out the so-called handgun was actually a prop from the school’s drama department.
The school is also a polling station for the provincial elections, and was also locked down.
However, both the school and polling station have since reopened.
