The man charged with second degree murder in relation to Japanese student Natsumi Kogawa’s death has been charged with another serious offence.
Court records show 48-year-old William Victor Schneider has been charged with attempted sexual assault for an incident that happened in Vernon on September 28.
That’s the same day Schneider was arrested in connection to Natsumi Kogawa’s death, and also the same day police discovered her body in Vancouver’s West End.
Records show Schneider intends to plead guilty later this month for the sexual assault charge unrelated to Kagawa’s case.
Kogawa was reported missing Sept. 12 last year.
Her body was discovered at Gabriola Mansion, a historic building on Davie Street.
