Developer Onni may have vowed to stop illegal short-term rentals at its Level building, but what about its other developments?
The latest in a CKNW investigation shows short-term rentals, while against the law, may have been looking to expand that model of doing business.
New information indicates another Onni development was also planning short-term rentals.
The email was obtained as part of Global News’ investigation into the City of Vancouver’s so-called $1.5-million “clerical error,” which saw Onni receive huge breaks for the Charleson when it shouldn’t have.
In that correspondence, an Onni staffer comfirms the Charleson would have condos for sale along with short-term rentals.
Any rental less than 30 days is against Vancouver’s bylaws.
