There are four options for the future of cetaceans in Vancouver:
- Put a plebiscite on the 2018 municipal election ballot
- Keep the Vancouver Aquarium’s current plans to phase out the beluga program by 2029
- Amend the Parks Control bylaws
- Keep the status quo
On Wednesday, the board heard from Vancouver Aquarium officials about the deaths of beluga whales Qila and Aurora.
