Chevron Canada has announced they will be selling five more stations in Vancouver.
This move is not new for Chevron Canada, last year they put three stations up for sale when interest was so strong in the hot housing market.
Real Estate Agent Steve Saretsky says with property prices being at record highs, it’s a company trying to take advantage of the timing.
He says it’s good business at the end of the day and, specifically in the downtown core, where there is only so much buildable land left.
“It kinda goes along too with the city’s plan, I mean I know, if you look at what’s Gregor has done, he’s obviously trying to encourage less cars on the roads, more bike lanes.”
As it stands, there are about 70 gas stations in Vancouver, including Chevron’s 19 locations.
