It’s very cold this Thursday morning in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, but Global BC meteorologist Mark Madryga says warmer temperatures are on the way – starting next week.
“Well, quite often we get out of an extended cold snap here on the Lower Mainland with a heavy snowfall. But it does not appear that will be the case this time. There will be a flurry – potentially on Saturday afternoon, Saturday night – a few flurries are possible with a weak system Sunday morning. But, we’re going to get into the much milder air Monday, so the transition will be right into rain late Sunday night to Monday, and much milder next week with highs of 7 to 9 degrees.”
Windchill factors in the eastern Fraser Valley this morning are down to minus 20.
