An Abbotsford woman has been missing for almost two months in Peru and now police are asking friends and family for help.
Kim Kasatkin was very active on social media and spoke often with her family before she disappeared in late November. She lived there with her children and partner.
Constable Ian MacDonald with Abbotsford police hopes someone will come forward with information that will help find the missing 41-year-old mother.
“We’re making an appeal with the hope that people and we think there will be a lot of them who are friends and acquaintances of Kim will come to us with any information that they might have about her whereabouts or any recent contact that they would have had.” says MacDonald.
He says they’re working with Interpol on the investigation despite it being out of jurisdiction.
“What we’re trying to do is again lend assistance to the family, but obviously lend any assistance we can to the missing investigation.”
Her parents, Kathleen and Alexander, will be flying down to Lima, Peru in hopes of finding answers.
