Council is revising the strategic plan to show the aim is to end homelessness by 2021 – instead of 2018 as it was originally planned.

“There has been very little funding coming from senior levels of government with the exception of BC housing. BC Housing has continued to fund housing in this region but not to the level that’s needed. And the federal government has provided small amounts of funding to the region.”
Helps says the change in the city’s target date is to stay in step with the Greater Victoria Coalition to End Homelessness.
