It’s looking like a white Christmas for many people around B.C. – but for one lucky Cranbrook resident, the colour this month is green.
The B.C. Lottery Corporation says a Lotto 6/49 ticket worth $4.9-million was sold in the Kootenay city for Saturday’s draw.
The winner will now split a $10-million pot with the owner of a second winning ticket, sold in Quebec.
The winner has yet to come forward to collect their prize, but have a full year to do so.
The jackpot for the next Lotto 6/49 draw on December 21 is approximately $5-million, and the jackpot for the following Lotto Max draw on December 23 is an estimated $60-million.
