The Abbotsford business community is banding together to raise funds for the victims of the Abbotsford school knife attack.
The initiative is being dubbed #AbbyStrong, with businesses in the community now selling t-shirts and bumper stickers with the phrase.
Proceeds from sales are going to the families of the victims.
The idea was spearheaded by Josh and Gina Vanderheide.
Gina is a teacher at Abbotsford Senior Secondary School where last week’s tragedy occurred, and says the entire community is shaken.
They hope the phrase will show strength and resolve in the community in an effort to spread a positive message of hope.
13-year-old Letisha Reimer was killed and her 14-year-old friend injured in what’s been described as a random attack.
