If October felt particularly bleak to you, you are not alone.
It turns out this month is officially the dreariest month on record in Vancouver.
“How we classify the dreariest is by the number of days of rain. So how cloudy and rainy it has been and we saw this month, 27 out of 31 days with rain.”
And while that might sound bad, Meteorologist Kristi Gordon says believe it or not, this isn’t the rainiest we’ve seen it in the past.
“We are not the wettest month on record that’s for sure. We’re actually not even close, we’re only at the 12th of wettest October, maybe closer to 11th or 10th now with today’s rain, but we certainly are the dreariest.”
Gordon says Halloween afternoon is looking a bit better than the rest of the month, so kids heading out to trick-or-treat will catch a break.
