The people of Fort McMurray are thanking Canadians from Coast to Coast for efforts during a massive fire last May that roared through the municipality.
In a heartfelt video posted of Facebook, the people of Fort McMurray expressed their gratitude to Canadians for their donations, volunteer hours, and shipments of food and clothes, many from right here in B.C.

“Every one of you that put in the effort that you did you near to know how incredibly grateful we are, and I get to thank you on behalf of not only my council but all the residents from Buffalo for what you’ve given to this region.”
The fire forced 90,000 people out of their homes and destroyed 2400 buildings.
The Canadian Red Cross raised almost $300 million to help the victims of the disaster.
