A man accused of a pair of sexual assaults a week apart against the same woman will spend one day in jail after time served for a separate obstruction charge.
Bassett will stand trial on the kidnapping and sexual assault charges in August 2017.
Crown says he recently applied for bail and was detained on those charges.
It was back in 2014 that William Bassett Jr. allegedly sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman, then just a week later was allegedly involved in kidnapping her, holding her against her will and sexually assaulting her once again.
Last year he pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice.
Last week he was sentenced to one day in jail after credit for a year spent in jail.
