With summer seemingly over, drivers can expect to get a little break at the pump.
Dan McTeague with GasBuddy.com says the end of the so-called “summer driving season” and a switch to cheaper winter-blend fuels means prices should start to drop by the end of this week.
“There’s no doubt that there is a serious correction in gas prices that is coming. I’m saying conservatively 3 cents-a-litre is where we ought to be going.”
McTeague says Metro Vancouver motorists are still be at the mercy of Washington State refineries, where any production problems can send the prices right back up again.
