The August real estate numbers for Metro Vancouver were released Friday by the Greater Vancouver Real Estate Board.
The data, which showed a 26% year over year drop in sales for the month, comes one month after the province introduced a 15% foreign buyers tax.
But how did those numbers play out in different municipalities?
CKNW took a look at the numbers to break it down. We looked at the numbers of detached homes and apartments sold between June and August this year and compared it to sales last year.
Price increases were seen across the board, and although the number of detached homes went down, the number of condos sold was still up in almost every municipality.
