North Shore Rescue were called to Crown Mountain Thursday night, after a call for two lost hikers came in at around 10 P.M..
Team leader Mike Danks says the pair weren’t properly prepared.
“Unfortunately they didn’t bring any headlamps with them, so they’re now off trail, just above Crown Pass. They’re not injured.”
Danks says people not packing a light source is common, and hikers need to be prepared before they hit the trail.
He says so far this year, they’ve responded to more than 80 calls.
CKNW has reached out to North Shore Rescue to find out when the hikers were found, but have not yet heard back.
