One woman is dead and five others hurt in a mass stabbing in London.
The London Metropolitan police says it was called to Russell Square around 10:30 pm local time to reports of a man with a knife attacking people.
Officers arrived within five minutes, and tasered and arrested the suspect.
A woman in her 60’s was treated for injuries at the scene, but died a short time later. The condition of the other victims remains unknown.
A spokesperson for the the police says there are indications mental health may have been a factor.
“A 19 year old man was arrested shortly after 10:39 pm, and is currently in police custody. Early indications suggest that mental health is a significant factor in this case, and that is one major line of inquiry.”
However, in a statement, the Metropolitan Police also say terrorism is being investigated as a possible motive.

The Metropolitan Police Service’s Homicide and Major Crime Command is now investigating, backed by the Counter Terrorism Command.
The attack comes just hours after London and the Metropolitan Police announced “Operation Hercules,” which includes 600 new firearm equipped officers for the city to combat the threat of terrorism.
