A second suspect wanted in connection with the murder of a Washington couple, one of whom is a former Burnaby woman has been captured by Mexican Authorities.

“We were advised yesterday evening that John Reed had been taken into custody by Mexican Officials and handed over to the US Marshals in Tucson, Arizona.”
Jeske says Reed is in Pima County Jail where he is awaiting an extradition hearing scheduled some time next week.
“At which time he’ll decide whether he wants to weigh in extradition or fight extradition.”
Patrick Shunn and his wife Monique Patenaude went missing mid-April.
Reed’s brother Tony, the other suspect in the case turned himself in to authorities in May and eventually led police to the couple’s gravesite.
Tony has pleaded guilty to two counts of rendering criminal assistance.
The brother’s parents were also arrested for rendering criminal assistance in the first degree.
The couple also admitted to providing the men with money when they fled to Mexico.
