One person dead and one person arrested – the latest from yesterday’s house fire in Port Moody, that sent 7 people to hospital – two adults and 5 children.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has now taken over the case from Port Moody Police.
The fire occurred shortly before 1pm at a home on Dewdney Trunk Road, near the Barnett Highway.
“One of the adults was severely burned and was taken to hospital and I think one of the children had smoke inhalation and I believe they had some severe burns on, I believe it was on their feet.”
That’s Fire Chief Remo Faedo.
One adult was taken away in handcuffs.
Cause is under investigation.
