The province has appointed an acting information and privacy commissioner to replace the outgoing Elizabeth Denham.
Drew McArthur has been named to the post, in a release by Finance Minister Mike de Jong.

Previously, McArthur served six years in the Information and Privacy Commissioner’s external advisory board and was the chief compliance officer with Telus and a founding member of the Canadian Council of Chief Privacy Officers.
Denham took a new role as the United Kingdom’s next information commissioner.
