Applications are being reviewed to choose the final members for the citizen’s advisory group for the removal of the Georgia and Dunsmuir Viaducts.
The City of Vancouver has received more than 100 applications between the Stewardship and the Park Board Advisory group.
Their purpose is to help guide development once the viaducts come down.
City says final members will be selected by mid-July, and the first meeting is tentatively taking place later that month.
The project has been years in the making.
Council first voted in favor of the removal in 2013, but public outcry deferred the decision.
The area is known as the last remaining waterfront community on the downtown peninsula.
