Charges have been laid against a man involved in a fatal Abbotsford hit and run last year.
And it appears it’s not the first time the driver has faced charges of this kind.
61-year-old Ronald James Scott was riding his bike January of last year when he was hit by a pick-up truck southbound on Mt. Lehman Road.

Now, APD Constable Ian MacDonald says 39-year-old Kerry James Froese has been charged with failure to remain at the scene of a fatal crash.
He says it took a few months to find the vehicle involved.
“The vehicle certainly was not in plain view, it was inside an out building and that’s what precipitated our need to execute a search warrant”
A search of court records shows that this may not by Froese’s first deadly driving incident.
In 2008, a man by the same name was charged with impaired driving causing death, impaired driving and dangerous driving causing death.
But in September of 2011 Froese he was found guilty of a lesser charge: driving without due care and attention in relation to the death of a young teen, Trevor Dueck.
He was given a six-month driving prohibition and a $1,000 fine.
